I need to raise my VT wagon 40mm urgently. Im movin interstate in the next couple of days, and have just been told the car needs to be able to fit a coke can under it. The body kit is 100mm off the ground. I would take the kit off but the removalists will not take car parts. I have seen these on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/w...2153&fromMakeTrack=true
but i need them very soon (im in bris) ... does anyone know if any where sells these clamps in bris? or any other ideas of how I can raise it?? Please HELP

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't interstate car rego's, rules, and engineering, honoured in each state? So if your car is legal in QLD where it's registered, it'll be legal whereever it is you're going?

Can't you just drive/move the car to where you are going and then remove the skirts for a rego test? I think that those spring clamps are illegal because they concentrate the load on to one part of the spring which can lead to the spring snapping. al Edited by user Saturday, 6 October 2007 12:49:00 AM(UTC)

Na guys, the car is LEGAL - it is just the transport company who need the car to be 125mm high so it will fit onto their trucks. Thus i only need to get the car 20 - 40 odd mm higher ONLY for transport. Any ideas?

Ah sorry mate, wrong track completely!
Have you tried jacking the car up so that the wheels lower themselves, and seeing if you can put some blocks of wood in anywhere to jam the suspension? If they're careful driving it up/off the truck, it might wor
