Hi how are we all? I have a query I know nothing of walkinshaw boxes. Did they only produce them for V8s or did they also put them behind 6s? were they any good? how do you recognise one?the reason I ask is I know of a 1tonner that Im thinking of buying for spares. Has a 5 speed manual with the box supposedly a walkinshaw but it is fitted to a 202. I have a 5ltr hz tonner with T400 box I would like to change to a 5speed. If this box is a walkin can I change the bellhousing and put it behind my engine? All help to answer these Qs would be appreciated and I thank you in advance. Leonard ps the box in this tonner has a H pater with 5 gear being towards driver & up while reverse is toward passenger & up thanks

I don't think it's a walky box.

Walky box is a Borg Warner T5G - fine spline input shaft.

It is a traditional H-pattern, with reverse below 5th.

There is no 6 cylinder version of the T5G, and the V8 T5 used in VN-VS models is different to the T5G
Cheers,

Mick

No idea. Reverse like that on a 5 speed is odd to me. Aussie 4s are like that, did you check for a 5th slot?
