Any industry professional out there who know about Ford differentials, what Ford differential with disc brakes would be suitable for for a vehicle that produces 185 horsepower.

Any of the borgy disc rear ends from XC to XD should handle your needs. I think a nine inch might be a bit of an overkill. What do you want to use the diff in?

I forgot to say before its to go behind a small 4.0L V8, would one need to use a differential with the V8 axles.
When completing searches in here I see some like the EB 28 spline differential would this be a suitable choice as I can purchase a complete u

Mate, I'm sure there are plenty of old falcon 6 bangers out there running a 9" with no dramas as well as old f series etc. Go the 9" to start with rather than messing around with other diffs then having to swap them out later.

Mr hot rod where are you located? $600 for an EB diff with freight you would want it to be an LSD and the freight to be a long distance.

All EB's had the 28 spline 4 pinion BW diff whereas earlier Borg Warner diffs were GENERALLY only 25 spline in a

The differential is going in a 1938 Dodge chassis.
Are you located in Queensland and how much are you wanting for the differential , if its a fair price I could always remove the brackets and have the leaf spring mounts attached.

Mr Hot Rod, "Fred" on these forums has a 1930's Plymouth that he has just fitted an EB rear end to and is thinking of changing to something different. He is in Central QLD and may want to sell you his diff.

Another thing worth looking into is a Valiant rear end. The reason I say this is I have an old copy of American Street Rodder that features someone modifying an early 1930s Plymouth coupe using a 340 Plymouth Duster as a donor car. I think the Duster is

No Brian, They don't have the original spring setup, they are using Toyota springs and Hilux mounts.
We are both now thinking of using the Ford 9 inch that way we can increase the engine size latter.
We'd like to thank everyone to date and now consider

hey yall,
i might be able to get a f350 diff,, Q, will this be a 9inch? and also it has the heavy duty hubs, i really dont need these, can i change them back to normal hubs, with disc brakes?
