Apart from the question WHY ? I know you can put a Blue / Black head on a red block, by putting a Blue/Black head gasket on the red block, and drilling the missing water jacket holes. Maybe the reverse is true. Get a RED motor head gasket. overlay it o Edited by user Friday, 24 August 2007 7:10:07 AM(UTC)

i was asked this the other day, and to me it seems like alot of effort just to choke your engine.
If it doesn’t burn fossil fuels, it’s not a sport.

You'd do it so you could run an LC GTR / 186S manifold and carby, or triple CD strombergs with GTR/186S exhaust manifolds. But having said that unless the black bottom end was perfect why not use a red bottom end with a blue/black crank.

But if you had a short in good nick and you had a ported red head why not..beats stuffing around to put it in a red block if you dont have too.
The only thing that will get you is the engine number and ADR 27.
