Hi All
Just after some advice. I am looking to buy a XB coupe for my fiance, and I was just after a ball park figure for the price.
I have found one with a bit of rust (only below rear window, sills on boths sides stuffed and a little above the wheel arches). It has had a bit of a bbq under the bonnet, but only melted leads, battery and the brake cylinder doesn't look too healthy (still holds fluid though). It's an XB GS originally 6 but now sporting a healthy 302 and C4. All new suspension and fair few new parts.
Your help would be really appreciated.

Well, you have obviously found a car so why not tell us the asking price and we'll tell you if you have found a bargain. You don't have to tell us who is selling it or where it is so there is no worries about anyone here swooping in to steal your deal.

I know the the car your talking about and i would pay up to $6000 $7000
i would have bought it myself but its a bit too far for me. dont forget that this is a GS and xb coupes of any type are pulling 10K no worries in *^&$$% condition. that is a g

Well thanks for all your help guys. I ended up showing him the car so that I know he did want it. He really wanted it and I know that other have been going for around $10k. I ended up getting it for him for $8k and it's really close to us so no transport

Well motor is good in this one, but it's got a C4 auto and my fiance HATES autos so that is going and it's being converted to a 4 speed. He's also sourced a 9 inch rather cheap so that's going into it.
