did all hq statesmans come out with either 5ltr or 350 engine i know they made some with a 202 but i am sure i seen one with a factory 253 cheers

Hi john.

HQ Statesman Devilles had the 308 V8 as standard & the 350 V8 as an option. The Statesman 'Custom' which was the rare base model had the 202 6 cyl as standard with the 253, 308 & 350 V8s all as options. I've never seen an HQ Statesman Custom w

Hi john.

Terry, did the 253 become the base model at a later stage ie the 202 dropped?

No, the 202 was always available. One thing about Statesman Customs was that for '73 & '74 they were available on special order only, so small were their sales.

The other thing of course, is that they weren't actually badged 'Custom'. A bi

What about an 11QO
This is the prefix on my 350 Chev Statesman.
Just double checked it with whats on the import papers as well.

yes,what byron said is correct...im pretty sure it never left aus and i believe it was a canberra car its whole life which may explain something...could have been an embassy car?

I had a dude telling me that his WB 1-tonne. bought new, got option with WB caprice front? i thought it was rubbish! but now know of this BO6 pack.?
