Hi all..

Has anyone mounted an electric fuel pump in the boot? Where and how? Do you think my idea will work.

Carter electric fuel pump with filter and regulator in series.
Tank>inline filter>fuel pump>regulator>carby.

My problem is where to mount the filter and pump as I have a twin system, hence no room near the tank. I was thinking of mounting them in the boot off the wheel arch using L brackets with a sheet of MDF or whatever on top with Filter and pump mounted inline underneath with fuel lines. Then hinges on the top sheet and another mounted as a door, so the whole set up is Boxed in, out of site and protected but still accessible. I have the holes for the fuel lines already drilled (used to have a gas system on top of the wheel arch in the boot)

I do NOT know the laws re this but I don't see any prob if it is 1)fully partitioned from the boot space and 2)vented to the outside of the car.
...but you might do well talking to a mechanic about it?? Hopefully someone on here knows.
