I want to make up a wheel stand to suit my VH like they do for the car shows.

I have the PCD of 120 mm but dont know the thread size.

Any help appreciated.

Are you sure it isnt a metric thread?

The HQ studs are 7/16".

Im not quite sure you mean by a car show wheel stand, but VH Commodore wheel studs have a 12 mm x 1.5 thread.

Its like a disc with holes in it that bolts to the hub which is attached to a stand thats a bit like a pin type axle stand but has a fixed height.

Im working for a place that does metal fabrication and I could get the disc part profile cut precisely. T

114.50 mm (2 to 5) on HQ
114.00 mm on commodore (wheel stud 2 to 5)

0.5 mm, thats 20 thou!

my mistake i thought all holden were 7/16
tried to fit my eh nuts onto hq and didnt fit

never new that???

The HQ PCD is 4-3/4" which is 120.65 mm, enough difference to shear wheel studs off or shake the wheel enough to loosen the nuts.

The holdenpaedia site has a calculation for finding the PCD from the stud centre measurements.

a lot of people say that but i have commodore rims on my hq they fit fine and have had no problems
i,ve heard of others doing the same????

Ive had HQ-WB mags come off HQ-WB and LX cars due to broken studs. Which means that even though the stud pattern is correct, the old mags had no support in the centre (centre hole made big for "one size fits all"). Moral - the centre hole size is just as
