So... humour me. I can't see the auction, it must have been pulled or finished, but assuming they are just a normal set of Monaro tags pulled from the firewall of a wreck... there is no possible (legal) use for these except for a collection?

yeh its me...just thought i would write it up that way to promote it better as there is always a lot of talk on different forums about tags being sold without the cars...seems to have worked as its already got 50 watchers and its not even 24 hours in...

You are right Byron this would be fiction as the number 1 HK GTS 327 from Sydney was not Warwick Yellow.

As far as selling ID that is exactly what it is and that is why we have the statutory write off register, as peoplepurchased car for one intention,

i got a laugh out of that warren "the monaro discerning eye" turnbull....... i guess adding a whole firewall to a car is a cut & shut so what are the thoughts about that as oposed to rebirthing?

Agree. I collect ID and have 100's including really rare stuff. But I won't buy it, and won't sell it. I have in the past bought a front cut or body just to get ID for my collection, but there is nothing illegal with doing that as opposed to simply buying
