Hi Byron, ebay would still pull your example. They have low tolerance for anything resembling VIN sales

What surprises me is that the authorities that deem a vehicle a statutory write off could just trawl sites such as eBay for these listings then simply and immediately add these VIN numbers to the stat writeoff list yet they don't.

Yep. Someone used a bit of a trick a couple of weeks ago and it went through to completion. HG shell with HK tags. They dont care as long as there is a car-shaped lump of steel attached to the tags. I like Gregs "with car attached". Very glib.

Cut and shut firewall is how you re-birth an HD to HG Holden. The problem is where did you get the replacement "body" from.

You could also do it with an HQ to WB, just cut and shut the cowl area and change the chassis and engine, body has changed. I do

generally if a car is over 15 years old the insurance companies will list it as a repairable write off no matter how bad it is..unless its burnt..the law only applies to cars 15 years and newer for stat write off..

This shell does not actually have any tags on it, so what you have is a photo of a car, that you do not get, and a set of tags. The car does actually have a firwall. So the person is selling tags only. But close to what Byron said in the first place.
