Does anyone know by how many degrees, a 202 cam would be retarded. If one was to set it one tooth out. Cheers.

While on this topic of 202 cams... should i advance my camshaft on my 202 for use with gas? I am going to use a 186 cam , as my 202 cam is way too big and has to come out... and i read somewhere that a 186 standard grind is very suitable for gas ? My 20 |

definatly ...just the dizzy will do...... i have the same setup 202 blue with vk efi manifold standard throtle body with gas ring i have 3.55 as well....... get a blue motor dizzy gas neads a good spark

Thanks vintageholden. But I wasn't meaning the keyway. I was meaning one gear tooth of the cam gear(not multi keyway crank gear). I'm guessing it's going to be around the 15 degree mark. But I want to know for sure. Handgunner, you should start your own

Adv. cam timing will give more down low, less up top
Retarted cam timing will give less down low and, more up top.

You cant use a 186 cam in a 202. The rod bolts will hit the cam, unless its actually a 202 cam in a 186.

Thank you Byron, you have saved me some trouble there, i really appreciate it :), the cam is in , but the lifters and rockers are still not in, so out it will now come..... it would of been quite stressfull starting that one up...lol... ok... so now i nee |

Please dont get a regrind there a waste of money get a brand new cam with a name you can trust be verry wary about cheep ones on ebay its better to get a good one rather than a regrind or a cheapie

Are these recommendations factoring in advance ground on the cam, if any? I've heard that some are designed for advance if you just "line up the dots" whereas others are meant to be set to your specs. Suppose it all depends which one you order...and the b |
