Hi I havent been arround for a while, Im buildign a 37 Chev as a rod, I have a 253 and traumatic to slot in her, Y a 253 and not a 308 or an actual chev thats a good question, well put simply I have it so it's goen in it already has Yella Terra heads on it and a 4bbl duel plane manifold, it's in sound condidion so what should I do to her just to giver her a little more punch what cam speck should I run for conventional 91ron ULP?

buy a copy of max ellerys how to rebuild and hot rod the holden v8 tells you everything aqround 40$ at super cheap or just parts mag add for book sales cheers

If its be rebuilt with YT heads it should have a decent cam already. Just stick on a blue 253 Quadrajet, blue HEI dizzy and extractors. It is unlikely itll run on 91 octane as most red motors were over 9:1 compression, so youll probably have to run 95/96.

It will only run properl on 91ulp if its low compression. if its a hotrod you probbaly wont drive it everday anyways so stick to the 95 oct. TQ20 is a good cam
