Hi johnperth.
Pressed the wrong button, didn't I !!
Anyway, what you say about the early 80s credit squeeze is quite true, however the same thing (but worse) happened under Whitlam & then to a lesser extent under Keating. Menzies also had that issue |

True Terry, but these days noone really believes they are voting for their local rep, all they are doing is putting bums on seats so the head office gets the numbers. Shouldn't be that way but have to recognise it is. What I wonder about is why it is so

My problem with unions running the country is that the balance gets shifted too far in favour of the workers. From where I sit the goal of the unions is to bring everyone down to the lowest common denominator ie no eagles, all turkeys. And that is wrong. Hi Guys.
Most unionists have only single-digit IQs & can't see past next weeks pay packet.
Not to mention the militant ones, anyone who tried to run a business during the 60s, 70s, 80s & 90s doesn't need an explanation on how bad unionists are. Warv |

I dont think Rudd will be the problem. I think its those behind him that are Union players that will be the problem when they oust him.

Unions are not anti business as the coalition would have us believe.
Like any parasite (union) if it kills the host (business) then it too dies.
