Hi all, in the past week i have come across two red sixes which have no cast marks where engine capacity usually is, 202, 186 etc. Completely blank. Engine no on both starts with a H followed by 5 or 6 numbers. The part no on the head of one starts with 742, that ones in a HT the other i didn't catch but was in a HR. Any one know these motors origins and more importantly what is their capacity?
Also, why do i need to re enter all my details etc when i don't visit this site for more than a few weeks? Security? Bit of a pain being anonymous... thanks

Common EH 149 engines. Made close to two hundred thousand of them. |

They had the blank blocks for the common EH 149, and so you could tell which block was a common EH 179 they put a HP on the side of the block. Other than the bore size and the HP letters, the engines were identical |

161s also had no casting on the side until part way through HK. But they had different engine number prefix.
