This # is on a mates HQ van 253 does this mean Nasco or police re- stamp ????

A Nasco number for a 253 would be NR...., this is a Police number, probably NSW.

Nasco or GMP&A number for a 253 can be NR, NS, or N5R, but as JBM says that is a NSW Police issued number.
