Hi I found a wire that goes to what I think is the regulator on the front of the car by the radiator. It has a connector that looks like it goes to an earth or the battery. If it goes to the battery I just want to check does it go to the earth?
I have a different battery in the car from that of 2.5yrs ago and cant remember which way round the battery was. Ive replaced 1 of the leads to reach the starter motor.
also a pic of the garage The cortina is the misses I painted
The hq I painted 8yrs ago 2k paint is great never waxed it lol opps.

Yes the little box is the reg and the wire is a body earth wire to the neg terminal on the battery. The reason for having two types of oil sender units is so you can run a gauge and the light. I would look at installing a gauge as it gives a real display
