Just spoke to the bloke i bought it off of he recons it smoked up 1st 2nd and cherp into third was very healthy and guesses somewhere around the 350 hp mark recon i will stick with that !!!

if i was you, i'd drop in a 350, 400 chev crank, with a nice cam around 224deg @50thou, 600 holley, T400. nice healthy motor, easily make 350 - 380 hp. run it on gas if you want.
If it doesn’t burn fossil fuels, it’s not a sport.

It all depends what you want, I have a genuine HJ Sandman van, didnt want to go for a carbie 308, so put a VR EFI 308 into it plus NOS, it goes good, still has a Holden in it, but which ever way you go, to change back to original is only an afternoons wor
