Hi,everyone was wanting to know how you can tell the difference between a standard and a 9" diff. Does the 9" have the humped plate on the back of the diff housing where as a normal one has a flat plate. Thanks.

9" are like a bigger version of an old Holden banjo diff in that the centre is bolted to the front of the housing & they don't have a removable cover on the back. Standard Falcon Borg Warner diffs have either a tin or an alloy hat on the back.
