I own a HK melbourne built monaro engine no 30745***. Recent Ebay sold HT sydney built monaro had an engine no 30718027. Would this no be to early for a HT or did each plant start the no's at 00001 and work up. Cheers John.

Interesting that the last sydney engine 39999 was before the first melbourne engine 40000. Did they stamp the numbers in Aust OR THE US. John.

Sydney never got that high, it was just a range that they were using for each plant. Brisbane used 00001 to 09999 and Adelaide used 74000 to 99999.

So from above yours is about the 5000 from Melbourne and the other is about 8000 from Sdney

Yes stamp
