What is the colour code on the body plate? If it comes up as a yellow, then it was factory. If the car is different to the code, or it has been resprayed, then it is not factory. |

Yes, eastern states did have yellow on fleet & govt vehicles - including police, telecom etc.
There are actually 3 different factory yellow paints used on the VN, but Absynth seems to be the most common.
As far as the SS, on the build plate, the mod |

commodorenut is correct, I worked at GMH when the VN was made and no VN SS was yellow only the three colours mentioned, I actually liked the white ones from what I saw come down the line white would be the rarest colour.

The highway patrol in Victoria went to white cars with the VN. They weren't SS. Just a manual V8. I should know. I was driving them. The last yellow police vehicle in Vic was the VL apart from their so called VZ SMART cars a few years back. Vi
