I have spent the past 5 years completely stripping, bead blasting, replacing rusted panels, re-spray in Sno White my XC Coupe. This was first owned by the NSW Police Department, and is a all numbers matching 351, FMX auto, 9 inch, 4 wheel disc brake and the Police Pack. I have replaced all rubber seals, had the heads rebuilt, brakes re built, fitted chrome 12 slotters, and has a all black interior with new carpets.
This car is ready to drive and enjoy. I am moving on to fully re-store my Falcon Cobra and XC Ute. Car is located in Sydney.
More photos available, and I am looking for $25,000 - $30,000.

Try $10-$15k mate, it still needs work after careful inspection of the photo's provided, and does not have power steering or air conditoning?

Mint units go for the amount that you are asking for.

Police interceptors didn't have air and steer. I think the asking price is about right for what the market is reflecting at the moment. I can't afford to buy another coupe with the prices but the prices are silly so there is nothing much we can do about

Disagree Paul. That's a very plain coupe with very litte going for it, and the fact that it was an interceptor makes very little difference to its value.

$20,000 absolute top dollar I reckon but $15K is probably closer to what its worth.

To Paul351xb Thanks for your comments Paul, I have read your posts now for some time, and I do respect your knowledge of the Ford XA-XC range of cars. We both agree that the market place has currently moved up in prices for the Ford Coupes, and the market

Piss off Ian. Take your smart arse comments somewhere else.

Is your car still for sale? Has it sold??

As for the Ebay clown, just keep your eye open mate, it will re-appear for sale again because these guys bid on thier own cars!

I know my coupes

Lets not fight guys. Like all things, the market, ( the real market as Craig is right about cars re-appearing on EBay over and over again ) will determine the worth of the car. It's a nice coupe and it's a factory K code car. Also the 351 XC coupes ar

IMO, two things going against the car being worth $25-30K are,

a. Its an XC
b. Its an Ex-interceptor

If it was an XB I reckon you'd get good money for it, especially if it was a GS or just had all the GS/GT cosmetics.
XC's, though little differe

Sorry to be a bit of a spoil sport but the trim is not saddle any more nor is the paint sand white and there are no fake rear brake ducts on it. Does it have rear tramp rods? and is there any evidence(sorry for the pun) of holes in the roof for a siren or

I own 2 x xc fairmont 351c coupes (square headlights), 1 x 77 and 1 x 78 build. I bought the 78 build with matching numbers, auto, sunroof, air, str, elec win and 12 months rego with rwc (books and 200k on the clock) for $20k on road (including the black

hello Jonathan,

The original inside trim was a brown, hounds-tooth seats and tan door trims, brown console and a brown carpet. All of these were either worn, broken, dirty or faded from the sun. The drivers seat was broken in the runners, so that is wh

To Craig and 10-15k

Thanks for your comments, you are of course entitled to your own opinions. Maybe I will hold on to the car and wait for the market place as you suggest. Or maybe accept the good offer already on the table, or wait until I advertise

It would be good if there was a build sheet under the glove box.
None that I know of have houndstooth or carpet but it if did from factory as a cop car would make it just that little bit different.

As I said, my mates XC was an ex cop car. It was factory black interior with carpet and houndstooth cloth inserts. Also had the country pack fitted, which was sump guard, rear sway bar and slightly raised suspension.

Yep that's a dead ringer for Shanes old XC. Minus the lights, stickers and windscreen deflector though
his car had a hole sealed up in the middle of the roof. So I'm guessing
different siren set up.

hey Craig, maybe you have found a photo of my car. The top photo with looks like a brown interior could have been it way back then. The roof rack and the windscreen protector were not on the car when I bought it, but the tell-tale marks are there in the s
