have a look at the internal ribbing, HQ is different to HJ and HX?

i have a few here, 1 is off a genuine HQ, it is different to one off a HX which is also fairly original.

comments?

Hi adam.

From 1973 onwards many front & rear panels were modified structually to behave in a safer way during collisions. While many of these panels appear the same externally & will interchange, they are structually different.

e.g. HJ doors look th
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

the UC has the side intrusion bar as opposed to the LH (door obviously)


If nissan motorsport is nismo, then doesn't that make honda motorsport Homo?

i stand corrected but dont hq & hj boot lids have different style lines as do the bonnets i know hj-wb have the same bonnet style lines but hq are not the same

Almost right Hazzard. The HZ Kingswood and Premier sedans got the HJ-HX Statesman bootlid. Prior to that they had the HQ lid.

I thought the Lettuce alone one is HJ - X, and the blue one a HQ pre mid '73???
i had a look on my fairly original 3/74 HQ, it is in the same style as your blue one.

The only reason i say this is beacuse my HZ ones are like your lettuce

Hi Adam. The Lettuce Alone boot lid has been repainted (There are pics here http://www.fastlane.com....opic.asp?TOPIC_ID=10802 or here http://gallery.oldholden.com/HQ_SS/SS/ of the repairs/repaint)but it was originally on a 6/72 HQ.

My 8/75 HJ coupe has the lettuce style ribbing on it as well and side intrusion bars in the doors.
