Hi jayHK69.

No contest, go the Tri-Matic.

Powerglides are for drag racing, Tri-Matics are for the street. Especially when you're trying to get the best out of a 6 cyl.

The problem with the Powerglide is simply the lack of that intermediate gear d

See if you can find an original VK EFI one. They are about the best 6cyl example. It will also shift from a factory HT/G floor shifter, but if you want a column shift a column shift WB 6cyl one will be the best.

why is the VK tri the best? is it simply because of age?

If nissan motorsport is nismo, then doesnt that make honda motorsport Homo?

Stronger built, like a 253 one. Irrelevant if you are going a full rebuild. Good secondhand box though.
