Hello, I am thinking of starting an early HSV forum (inculding Gen2 & 3 HDT cars, WGR and CSV models from the era).
This would cover HSV vehicles from VL to VS, and some of HSV's other variations other eg. Astra SV1800, Jackaroo and the host of specials they were contracted to build.
It would also cover the WGR & CSV cars, as well as HDT cars built after the Brock era (Gen 2 & 3). Before people say that there are forum's set up for this already, I have been a member of such forums for a while and dont find that they cover specifically early models.

The reason I have chosen to stop at VS, is after that model, I dont find the cars as interesting. With the VT introduction, HSV stopped building cars with the variety of special options (like the HDT style method of options) and the vehicles became more mainstream production cars.
Not that there is anything wrong with them, just don't find them as interesting as the earlier ones, which were very distinct models in their own right. So no offense to owners of later models.

If I can get enough interest I would like to put forum together, as there isn't a forum that specifically caters for such vehicles. I'm sure that there are others who have an interest in these cars also.

I just wish to gauge interest from the members on this site. I have chosen to do it here because I know I will get good, honest answers.

All feedback is welcome, both good and bad. I personally think it would be good to develop such a forum with like minded enthusiasts.

Cheers
Daniel

Thanks Rob for your feedback. I find the samething, there are plenty of forums that give you an over veiw of the model but not in large detail with all possible variations avalible at the time. I am mainly a huge fan of the Vn and Vp models. Your Vp 5000i

talk to commodorenut (mick) he knows everything there is to know. he has a monthly column in streetcommodores that relates specifically to HDTs and Early HSV. he's also on here regularly.
Youd've heard of him anyway, you use the streetcommodores forum.
