Guys

Been looking at the Sandmans I have recorded.
Just noticed that ALL HQ and HJ Sandman utes up till the GVW reduction was recorded on the ADR plate for XX7 (and XU3 released) are Kingswoods (all 7 of them). Any thoughts? Seems an odd co-incidence? Maybe they all were Kingswoods?

I think it's a late HJ, so falls post XU3. I have one other HJ HOLDEN Sandman ute slightly later. Can you possibly get the chassis number?

Also, of all the 150 or so Sandmans I have recorded I think this is only the second 173 example, and probably onl

Yes. But all Sandmans are either optioned up Belmonts (changed to just HOLDEN in HJ) or Kingswoods. As is every other "performance" Holden bar a select few:

Second Brabham;
HK-HQ 1837.

HI Byron.

Im with you on the A9X, even Holden use the wording Option Package. Also you could still order 4.2 V8 SS & SL/R Torana post A9X intro as well as the 6 cyl.

The Brabham Torana is PO XS5, for both Series 1 & 2 HBs. Its just that in Series 2
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Not correct. The reduced GVW only came in from 1976 model onwards, and it was because of the use of sedan tyres. You could also order an XU3 with full carrying capacity and commercial tyres.
