Why are HOLDEN supporters so passionate and FORD supporters so die hard ?? What makes you like 1 more than the other ???

Good question. Personally i like anything with a bit of soul whether its an Oldsmobile, Valiant or a Ford...whatever! As long as folks are having fun with their cars it's all good. :)

Either of the big three for me, Val, Ford or Holden but i do like them to be between 1966ish to about 1970-1. I've dreamt of a car built with the best bits of the three makers combined and now finally i'm doing it..HKGTS body, 265 Hemi, Toploader and 9" |

Sorry too say this but recon that you guys are soft Ford supporters are you lot too busy repairing rust, door handles and dash boards too respond , ,1500 approx on your site 6000+ on the holden site .... Ps thank you mate John for my response ,,, Proove m

OK, I guess you could say I'm a die hard Ford fan. Always been Fords in my family. I grew up with them. Then again I had mates who were die hard Holden fans and their dads drove Fords and visa versa.
The XF and EA falcons caused a big void for Ford

HQ, from your responses above, apparently we do not reply to this topic because we are too busy fixing problems with Fords. Well if that's not a **** stir I don't know what is. Who really cares how many Ford people are on this site compared to the Holden

actually HQ, I am a Holden supporter, I have been having a read on both sides. If you can't tell one of your own from one from the other side all your theories on Ford supporters go out the window. As for a sense of Humour ? you don't show any sarcasm in

FORD did have better diff and gearbox. holdens down fall. everyone knows that.

Yeah RB they did the 9" is a killer diff about as strong as they get for a locally produced car , and the top loader a great gear box ,, n holdens deffinatly fell down on the diff side of things ..... but did produce a couple of very stron transmissions ,

HQ. you on about muncie 4 speed. good box yes. T 400 auto in STD factory form is pathetic. 1 big power loss. 2 when you try to go back to 1st gear it only goes in at 30 kmh. certainty not sporty. 3 the T bar gate is rubbish. T 400 strong yes. whe

I am a dyed in the wool Ford man my Grandfather worked there my Dad worked there for 39 years I still work there 23 years in product development and still going but have owned two Holden's in my life worst motoring experience I have ever had. Thank you bundy i am on about these cars and there direct opposition when new. nothing to do with bathurst or anything. just what was available then. XU-1 stand out alone had no competition, credit to holden. XA-B-C, were the bigest rust buckets in a

I think the capri gt was ment to be in direct competion for the xu-1. I do disagree with the t400 though as i had a stock standard one behind my Bigblock SS chevelle and i gave it a flogging and it never had any troubles it was factory 375hp 396 and i ga |

I forgot about them, 3000 v6 GT capri. rare as hens teeth. wheels test has them doing 0 to 90mile in 22.5 sec 1/4 16.8 LC 186 xu-1 0 to 90 mile in 18.4 sec 1/4 16.1 LJ 202 XU-1 0 to 90 mile in 17.4 sec 1/4 15.8 I would imagine a 396 has plenty torque
