my first was an EH Special with 179 and hydramatic, went like the clappers. Favourite? A toss up between an all original '79 HZ GTS with 5.0 litre and TH400, factory air and honeycombs ... and an HJ Sandman van with 4.2 and 4 speed.

The first was a mint condition Hilman Hunter, the ol man bought for $800.00 and gave it to me as the first car in 1981. Still at school I obviously abused it and did things to it that was a real ****. e.g. Sports air filter-took hubcaps off and sprayed

My first car was a 180B, it got thrashed and pranged. I put a 35mm Weber on it with a sports air cleaner, then lost my licence DUI for a year and it ended up stuffed.

My fav was a 253 HQ Premier, column shift auto with a bench seat and power steering,

You only have to be in front at the end of the race.
