In answer to that question I'd have to say A9X (with optional T10). HK-HG 1837 manuals suffered in brakes and to some extent in the Saginaw (if these had gotten a muncie and bigger brakes then i'd include them (remember 12 bolt diff was optional)). XU-1 a

I have to agree with Byron.....the A9X hatch with T10 gearbox option, particularly after reading the extensive write up in the the latest AMC mag. Unfortunately puts my HQ GTS 350 sedan to shame.

If Holden had got their act together and built a HJ GTS350 with the HZ's suspension, used the engine out of the HT/HG 1837 manual and continued to offer the 12-bolt Chev diff (they did in export 350 HQ's) then I'd probably rank it up there with the A9X

XU2 was to be the LH SLR5000. The prototype V8 XU-1 was just an XU-1 with a 308 and V8 M21.

OzChevy, the HT/G 350 manual wasn't the same as the HQ 350. The HT/G manual engine was a high comp engine with 300hp. Most had fuellie heads. The HQ engine by t

So my 1974 owners handbook must be a miss-print.
It clearly states 290 bhp and 275 ft lbs of torque.

Well I guess even GMH can get it wrong occassionly.

there were 3 LJ XU-2 's made
2 x strike me pink
1 x indy orange

the 308 wasn't a stock 308, it was a twin carbed 380HP version.

apparently these vehicles were dismantled after the superpower scare of the 1970's.
and the body shells sold off.
