I read with intrest the "VK EFI into WB" artical with intrest as it has been a swap I have considered. The part that intrested me was in relation to the gearbox, now from what I can gather, excluding a supra box, the only box stronge enough to slip up behind an efi motor is an M20? The BW box would not cope? and what is the differance between the trimatic in the efi to the normal commodores? The reason I ask is I currently have a VK Calais that I am doing for my daughter and after a blue slip I was going to slot a BW 5sp into it but have my doubts now.

When the green flag drops the bulls@#t stops!!

Any aussie 4spd will be fine. The EFI trimatic is similar in internals to a V8 box, just has the 6cyl bellhousing and pump.
