I have a v6 vp commodore and the engine is cutting out when i am driving. it will start at first when it wants but when driving it shuts down and needs a jump start to go again. but sometimes i go back to the car and it starts normal what the?

Crank angle sensor is shagged by the sound of that. it is in behind the harmonic balancer.

Im with paul, had same problems with my vp and turned out to be crank angle sensoe
