Hi guys
I am looking for an early powerglide for a HT holden with a 308 in it.
What numbers do they have on them? What should I be looking for to differentiate them from the Chev ones?
Thanks

The 253/308 Powerglide is a 6cyl box with modified internals and has a specially designed bellhousing to suit the Holden V8, which as Bundy says is removable. The Chev one is a one piece housing like a TH350 or 400.

AFAIK the only Chevy autos fitted to Holdens with a removable bellhousing were the 6cyl and Holden V8 powerglides and the later (VT on?) 4L60E/4L65E and possibly the 6L80E's.

$200 to $500 should be about right for a V8 one.
