HI, COULD SOMEONE ASSIST ME WITH A PART.
i just purchased a pair of rocker covers (308 holden to suit VL) along with some other bits and when i fitted them i found that they only suit early non pollution motors due to the fact that they only have one grommet supplied for the PCV VALVE AND A BLOCK OFF GROMMET FOR THE OTHER ROCKER COVER.
i returned to the store i purchased them from only to be told that they weren't sure if the supplier sold the grommets separately, then they rang up and advised me that they could get one in at a cost of about 6 bucks.
the extra cost isn't a problem to me but the week or two wait is a dilemna for me when i CANNOT DRIVE THE CAR !

so what do i do, unglue the rocker covers and fit the old damaged ones with new gaskets ? (more un-necessary cost)

i asked the lady if it would be possible (seeing as i HAVE TO PRE-PAY) to remove one grommet from another set and replace it when the ordered item came in to get me out of this strife to which she said IF THEY DID THAT THEY WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO SELL THAT SET !!!!!!!

WELL, WHAT ABOUT ME !!!!!! HOW ABOUT HELPING A CUSTOMER IN NEED WHO YOU SOLD AN ITEM TO AND IT DOESN'T WORK , AND NOW I CANT MOVE THE CAR ?????????

SORRY, I HAD TO HAVE A WHINGE, i feel better now.

is there anyone out there who can assist me with a grommet for these alloy finned rocker covers with holden on them ?

even if someone knows where i can purchase one it would be a great help.
thanks
glenn

It does work - on a non pollution motor.

Grommets of many many sizes are available from Clark Rubber.
If it is old or rare - Cut it! http://www.ehlimo.com.au/

I know the topic is RAREs DONT CARE, but we RED or BLUE owners should be thankful that a company like RAREs does exist.

Yes they can be pricey, yes sometime parts arent there, often they are though, and YES we should be bloody thankful that (1) we have

I have seen cheaper generic door rubbers for sale that have a universal profile that is used on whatever vehicle you think you can fit it to. They are sometime
