What has the more power ?
A Holden 253 or a comm V6 ? Both stock, say into a HZ one tonner & what if any mods are needed to fit V6 into HZ ?

The V6 will give more power and possibly more torque. The modern technology makes all the difference. Do the same thing to a 253 using EFI off a 304 plus roller cam and the 253 will produce more.

So what you are saying "boom" is that the top end & wiring from a 304 inj will go onto a 253 ??

It will, but I think the valves have interference problems with the smaller bore.

yeah, like byron says, the Valves hit the cylinder wall, same with L34 heads. i was actually referring to a 308. your best bet is to get a correct era 308 block, transfer the top end, injection, and wiring onto it, and if you really want power stroke it t

I have an early 350 that i got with a nissan patrol a few years back numbers i can check for you to get more info.

get a stroker crank ($350) which takes it out to 383, X rods, and stroker pistons off ebay. hypereutictic hypatec pistons are strong, light, and can be had for another $350. so with X rods being at $80 a set from suburban, you have a killer stroker bottom

I've done the stroker sums, and I reckon the COME Holden 308 to 350 kit is cheaper than buying all the parts - $1995. It comes balanced don't forget, which is about a $400 cost on all the parts. Plus it has Keith Black hyperuetectics, new rods, new bolts,
