Guys

HQ trivia quiz for you.

What is the engine number of the very first HQ assigned a PSN (PLANT SEQUENCE NUMBER)?

(Note PSN is the VIN suffix eg the PSN of 81837QH712345 is H712345).

Just an engine number prefix for starters. Think hard. And remember the very first HQ with a PSN would never have been sold.

To know the prefix do you need to know what motor it was ie 173, 202, etc?

James

You only have to be in front at the end of the race.

Also to get the right PSN prefix you need to know which plant it was from.

The number would have to be 5 digits wouldn't it?
They didn't get to 6 digits until Q*99999 changed to Q*100000 right?
Then it would also have to start something like 00100, 01000, 00101 or 01001 ???

The VN V6 started off at VH001001.

I think you have all misinterpreted my note. H712345 is just an example PSN. The PSN is how the vehicle lists run, with the corresponding engine number next to it. For example the first HK from Pagewood would be H500000 eg 80369H500000. The engine number

G'day Byron/Gents

From memory the monaro bible states HQ engine numbers starting at 1000
wether it be a QD,QL,QR or QT eg QD1000 as I looked into this when chasing down my 308 as its No is QT1155.
