extractors Vs cast iron headers on Holden 6

Hi guys, Need some help ? I have a pretty hot holden 6 producing 171 hp at the back wheels . I ve been told to get a nice set of mandrel bent extractors for it as the xU1 cast iron headers are holding it back from producing more hp . What do you reckon ? Any help much appreciated. Thanks Biga064

i knew a few guys with them open wheeled holden 6 drag cars. all had to use early style of head. all of them used the cast iron manifold. as they were getting better times than using extractors.

Holden fitted Extractors to the '73 Bathurst XU-1, so obviously they thought it was necessary. So if you are to produce over 200hp from a 202 I'd do it. The cast headers are good for a strong street engine, but properly done extractors should benefit such |
