I know this is a old post but from my details I have myself I have.
28 Lettuce Alone cars.
24 Infra Red cars.
23 Ultra violet cars.
This does not include all the cars I have pictures of but do not have details on.

All,

There are well over 100 HQ SSs known at this time and colour breakdown is an even split three ways (give or take one or two). It is more than likely that as more examples are recorded then the trend of even colour breakdown will continue. Warrens

They seem Rarer than most of the monaros as far as building figures,and NO I dont mean any disrespect . Its just an obsevation.

There was heaps of them made, but being a lower spec car and a 4 door with good bits heaps got wrecked. I remember them being wrecked every second weekend in the Newcastle area in the early 80s and buying bits off them. One red one in particular was mint.

Hi Jim.
My numbers refer to how many cars I now have details on myself not full build numbers.
There were actually 2800 SSs actually made, in two batches 8/72-9/72 and 11/72-12/72.
To further split the numbers I have up a bit, I have details on

This is one of the reasons I would be surprised if there were a high number of them left now.
So many of the people I have talked to about SSs have said the same thing, A lot wrecked for parts, a few crashed and more than the odd one stolen a

I agree. You see more HJ coupes today than you see HQ SSs. Same thing with HQ-HZ 4 door GTSs. These used to be common compared to HQ SS and today they are "endangered" as well.

So you have a Selmont AND a Mingswood? Have you thought about selling both and you would probably have enough for a down payment on a Monaro?
