I have seen HJ GTS dashes with both black and silver facias.
Which is correct?

Hi rix66

This was discussed a few weeks ago. It seems that when the HJ was first released only the silver facia was made & this was fitted to any model that had the GTS instruments optioned. Some time during HJ they added black & timber-tone GTS style
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Hi Dr Terry, I believe in the HZ series all the GTS fascias were black only. The silver and woodgrain ones finished with the HX.

I have a HZ SL/E Statesman fascia here in front of me. It is identical to a burr-Walnut HX LE fascia but has an RTS badge on it. Also had a HZ Premier GTS dash, which is woodgrain but not Walnut, but is the same wood finish as a normal Premier just a GTS

You are correct Byron, I misread the woodgrain part number in the manual, should have looked at the pictures. The HZ manual is a little confusing at times with the double part numbers in it.

The silver one finished with HX.....unless someone has seen a

In 1984 a black one would still be a current part as WB commercials were still on sale until very early 1985.

Thanks for your replies, I have a 1/75 GTS coupe and the fascia is black.I guess if either is correct I may leave it as is.
