XR-XT rear axle assembly's are 1500 wide XA-EL are 1550 wide. XB was the first model to have rear discs.
Luckily for you the spring saddles stayed in the same place between XY and XA so yes even though it's an XB-XC diff it will still bolt in but |

If you have already got the 245/50/14's under your car just have a look and see if there is room for them to sit an inch further out than they do now. You can keep your existing rear springs but will have to replace the U bolts as the axle tubes Edited by user Wednesday, 23 January 2008 11:32:29 PM(UTC)

I'd check with your tyre suppliers if you are wanting 245s in a 14 inch rim buddy. They aren't making them anymore. There are 2 types of cable and caliper set ups with the nine inch diffs. As for fitting the hand brake cable it depends what type you ha Edited by user Thursday, 24 January 2008 7:18:22 PM(UTC)

I'm pretty sure it's an early disc brake set up. So it will be the same as an XB GT or Landau nine inch. Later nine inch disc set ups like the XC had the calipers at the back. Are you really sure you want to put a disc brake set up in the rear of your

I didnt think of that I guess brake ballance could be upset if the discs lock on harder than the drums would have. Ill check with safer brakes before i do anything. cheers.

I agree, XB or Landau style diff. It has the fronnt mounted calipers, the Xcs were rear mounted on the rear. It is also the rounded style housing.
