auto to manual conversion. trimatic to m20 253
i've rebuilt my gearbox, got the new clutch, pressure plate in and bellhousing, pedals are done too.
has anyone got any pics of the cable going into the bellhousing, i'm thinking i'm missing something or it's the wrong cable. is there meant to be a clip of some sort attaching the cable through the bellhousing hole?
should the v8 have a plastic thrust race or the metal one? mine came with the plastic but i reckon it's the wrong one, it only has about 15mm pull before hitting the bellhousing, i've noticed the metal one is about 5mm longer? without hooking up the cable i cant tell if thats going to be enough pull

Need more info to help. What model car? What pedal setup?
If youve used a WB 6cyl clutch pedal with a V8 bellhousing youll get the symptoms described.

Commodore and WB are the same bellhousing. Which hole does the clutch pedal pivot in? Top or bottom? Sounds like a 6cyl WB pedal to me. Not enough pull on the cable.
