WRECKING A 10/84 WB STATO, REMOVED THE BIG PLATE ON DRIVERS SIDE ( I KNOW IT'S ILLEGAL) AND ON THE UNDERSIDE IT HAD THE NUMBER 3211 WRITTEN IN PERMANENT MARKER. THIS CAR WAS A ONE OWNER, I KNOW THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER, HE IS NOT A CAR PERSON AND NEVER REMOVED THE PLATES. PAINT IS ORIGINAL. IS THIS NUMBER SOME FACTORY CODE?
I COULDN'T GIVE A TOSS REALLY BUT SOMEONE MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN THE INFO. IF NOT, DISREGARD!

Should be the last 4 digits of the PSN. PSN is the VIN suffix minus the last letter of the VIN. eg if your vin was 8Q69THH987654Z the PSN would be H987654 and 7654 would be on the back of the ADR plate. Its not illegal for you to remove the plate..you own it.
It is illegal if you try and sell the plates..especially if they are not attached to the vehicle they come off...and there are more than a few people here that need a good hard look at themselves

yeh i have came acroos this before also with the texta on the back. will have to dig through my plates to see if there is any meaning like byron mentoned. |

I beleive this is only done on upper models in range
GTRs and XU1s have ADR tag marked on back, black texta was brisbane and adelaide (elizabeth) scribed with a rotary ecther
