Hey guys is there a difference in the master cyl for hktg disc and drum brakes and how do i tell which is which? Dave

gday dave there is a difference in the internal which can be easily changed but cosmetic outside is the same .you can tell by looking on the big nut should be stamped disc or drum & followed by a dated code.hk t g have the oval shaped lid hq onwards has

The factory HK/T/G master cylinder is round at BOTH ends.

I would say there would be a difference between the drum and disc unit, possibly the bore size???
Why would you go to all the trouble of rebuilding a car - with all the original mistakes!

Hi Guys.
If the master cylinder you have has one round end and one square end, it is most probably an aftermarket unit, PBR or similar. This type usually has an alloy housing.
If yours has 2 round ends and no Big Nut it could be one of the very earl |
