I have a Hg that i am doing up and i am looking for some chrome mirrors that will offer a bit more style than the origional round ones. can anyone offer some suggestions?

buy the Just Parts magazine.
there is a US importer in there selling "PEEP" mirrors, simular to the Nasco ones, except they mount half way up the door jam (yes, like some Nasco ones)

i have those mirrors instock at $70 a pair also. i can do all sorts of styles, we have pictures on our website, link below this post.
