I was wondering if anyone has imported a car from New Zealand before? If so:

- What costs were involved (shipping, Tax, etc)?
- How long did it take?
- Could you recommend a decent importer who can pack the car in NZ if dropped off at the depot?

i brought my fatboy with me when i came over in 2000

id bought it new in 1992 from official nz agent, shaft motorcycles in auckland, they were supplied by morgan and whacker, who were the south pacific distributers, so it met all ADRs

it was complet

Did it have to go through a quarantine process?

you can also go the cheap way which is ro/ro ( Roll On / Roll Off )
make sure you take all the good bits off if you go Ro/Ro otherwise the wharfies will do that f

If the vehicle meets the requirements as a "Personal Import" then this is by far the best option. Still wont see much change out of about $4500, but its reasonably hassle free. (well it is until it hits Australian government depts.) If you use Crown remov

i imported my HK GTS 2 years ago. It was hassle free. There are some processes to follow, such as customs clearance paper work before shipping the car etc. Quarrantine inspects the car once its unloaded and depending upon where its from (eg farm), how muc

does anyone know any people/firm/business that does all this for you and you just pay them a commission or fee? if not then my situation is...

im thinking about purchasing a car from nz its a 2001 bmw 325ci sport for $17000 nzd which is approx $13500 a
