I had a red 202 with 350 Holley on straight gas once, and it was real smooth and very economical to build and run.

I like Gas research systems, new is better than used as you get the 10 years on the tank, can you fit it your self? Fitted is $2000 to $3000 roughly depending on what you get done. Please dont waste your time on duel fuel as you can only "tune" the motor

ok, sounds like your on a budget.
and you have the pros and cons of Red / Blue / Black.

for a budget builder:
Go 202, not 186.
ww stromberg and match ported inlet manifold
HQ spec race cam
Extractors into a straight thru muffler with 2" out
elect
Old holdens brought on the spot, quick decision, cash paid.

I have a rear cut off a tonner here in Newcastle. It's pretty good too. Cut through the windscreen pillars and across the middle of the floor under the seats. Nice and cheap too. Just time cosuming to get down of the mezzanine.
