This is an extract from the artical to save me typing lol!!!

"Scientist have built the smallest petrol engine - tiny enough to power a WATCH. The mini-motor, which runs for two years on a single squirt of lighter fuel, is set to revolutionize world technology.
It produces 700 times more energy than a conventional battery despite being less than a centimetre long - not even half an inch. It could be used to operate laptops and mobile phones for months on end - doing away with the need for recharging.
Other applications for the engine could include medical and military uses, such as running heart pacemakers or mini reconnaissance robots. At present, charging an ordinary battery to deliver one unit of energy involves putting 2,000 units into it.
The engines got so hot they burned themselves out and could not be re-used. The Birmingham team overcame this by using heat-resistant materials such as ceramic and silicon carbide.
"What better place to have the second industrial revolution - in nano-technology - than where the first took place, in the heart of the West Midlands."
This power source holds unlimited benefits to the rural areas, however land of DOWN and UNDER, wonder technology from humane ingenuity, such as this mini-engine, will eventually be swallowed by government millstones and bureaucratic bungling to ensure it is either exploited or extinguished."

Sounds like quite a peice of work but I had to wonder if its used in a Pacemaker where do you put the exaust?

If it gets so hot that it melts down so they use ceramic and silicone carbide, apart from the exhaust problem it maybe give you heart burn.
mine would have to be a keith black nitro methanol V8, 9.5 heartbeats to the millilitre.
Havent you learnt anything from that guy that gives sermons at church?...Captain whats his name.

I'm with you Bluedog. A mini blown keith black for the pacemaker.
Now that would get yer heart pumpin'. Plus a good excuse for drinking plenty of alcohol.
