i have a vx wagon and the otherday it came up HOT on the dash so i turned it off and had a look it wasnt hot only been driving for 10 min let it sit for 2min then started it up and no problems it has done it twice now about 3weeks apart i dont know what to do

GDay, had the same problem with my VX Supercharged. Most likely you are low on coolant. Take the radiator cap off and have a look. The reservoir bottle is notorious for remaing full but not syphoning back after radiator has disgorged its contents after be

You may have to bleed the air out of the system, on the v6 you have a bleeder valve on top of the thermostat.
