Gday everybody. I have a problem with brakes on my WB ute. When I try to bleed the front brakes I can't get any fluid pressure at the bleeder. If I undo the flexible hose I get pressure from the metal line and If I completely remove the bleeder valve brake fluid drips out. The car has a disc brake diff with a WB Statesman master cylinder. It was converted from drums before I bought it and hasn't been driven since so I can't be certain the job has been done properly. Both the calipers and flexible hoses at the front are brand new and I can bleed the rears no probems. Any ideas???

Cheers, Mark.

Was thanked: 5 time(s) in 5 post(s)
it could be that the bleed nipples are blocked - take them out, run some fuse wire through them, and then blow them out with some high pressure air. Hopefully its that simple ...
Keep us posted! cheers franklin

No such luck. Bleed nipples are clear. Cheers, Mark.

get the calipers serviced or do it yourself..sounds like a huge build up of dirt and sludge near the bleeder.

Thanks for the suggestions but the calipers and hoses are both brand new that's what makes it such a mystery. The problem was there before I got the calipers re-coed as well

You may have to bleed the master cylinder as well before you bleed the system at the end.
