talking to bloke about parts for HK Monaro I am working on and he asked if it was series one or two
is there a difference and how can I tell, what dates etc?
the date stamps on various parts are all over the place from feb to sept 68

Only in GTS327. The rest didnt change that much, except "type 2" saw the introduction of Inca Gold and Ermine white to the GTS lineup. Type 2 GTS327 had a Canadian 327, type 1 was US built 327 with afew other changes for type 2 like the oil filler moving

I don't have motor for it but should be 327 and body number is low 200s so would assume series 1, but need to replace "Y" frames and front section so can I use any front off HK/HT or are there differences in panel shapes?

Yes when most people talk about series I and II in HK they are talking about GTS 327s only (the correct term being first and second type 327 engine, series I and II suggest the range was changed and there are a lot of big running changes that occur during
