G'day I was driving to work this morning and half way there the gears where sliping in and out of 2nd and 3rd.
So I pull over and oil pouring out from the trans and I thought ahh its cool ive fixed a leaking hose no problems, so got my wife to bring tools and jacks and stands and hoses and oil and the rest.
I clean the mess up and get me wife to turn over engine with fresh oil in trans and oil just poured out.
Now it was comming from where the tourque converter and the trans meet pissing out of there.
I thought it was just going to be nice and easy and replace the hose.

Any help on this would be great as how big of a job this is and what I will need to replace on the gear box like seals and can I do this myself or will it need to be taken to an auto trans mechanic.

Thanks in advance for any replys.

Sounds like the front seal has gone. $5 part but the box has to come out to replace.
