NICE

Mint Julip paint with Slate Black interior in a HX Holden ute is almost definately a Sandman. This one appears to be XU3 option having a GVW of 2200kg.

It should have a 308 engine with T400 auto and is a Melbourne built car.

9942827 is only for the 2200kg HX sandman and the non HJ 8 Cyl Panel Van, Ute.

your colour is Mint Julep and would have had the Plum/ Purple/ Dark Blue stripes. unless t

Very rare XU3 Sandman UNLESS it was sold new in NZ then it could just be an optioned up base model. 18V (Slate Black) trim is Sandman only in M70 and M80 (non-Sandman just got plain Black (19V)). EXCEPT NZ examples where all base models got 18V where blac

I can tell you approx what engine number to get. No plates match the engine number but I can also find out what engine number it should have had originally. As a restored car close to original it'd be worth over $20k in my opinion. It's a good ute to do u

Byron, is there any way to tell a NZ delivered Holden over a AU delivered one? ie: difference in compliance plating, export code etc.

I havent taken too much notice thus far for HQ-HZ but HK seem to be the same ID plate wise. I seem to remember the lack of an ADR plate (which HK dont have anyway) on HQ-HZ? One of our NZ forum members might have a better idea.
